Got my car back with the rebuilt transmission. Very expensive and over half the cost was labor. But it's running great now. It had always been a bit troublesome, but now, it's like a new car.

I bought the Star Wars episode 4 the two disk one with the original theatrical version. I will buy the other two episodes as well. It's important to get the unadulterated versions.

I never understood this. In the remastered versions, did Han not shoot first, but in the original he did?

Yep. In the scene with Grebo in the cantina. In the original, Han shoots him *before* Grebo had the chance to get a shot off at him. Pure, cold-blooded "kill him before he kills me". When I saw the new version at the theater, there were audible "What the hell?"s.

The real argument is that in trying to make Han shooting Grebo a "self-defense" thing, it's trying to put a rosier, softer picture of Han's character, which was a self-serving smuggler primarily concerned with hiis own survival. Instead, it's trying to make him "a nice guy", which he wasn't. It bugs me because I always found that one of the more compelling aspects of the story was his change from being being a self-concerned crook to finding a bigger cause. (That & the fact that Leah was just as capable of kicking someone's ass as the guys were).

George Lucas is insane.

I can't understand why he keeps changing things to make it more fun for kids to the detriment to the story.

Like episodes i-3. Jar-Jar was obviously there for the kids, even though it took away from the storyline. But what I like about the firs three episodes is the slow unfolding of the big evil plot and how the good guys never saw it coming.

Yes, unadulterated is good.

Congratulations on the car :)
