What a Friday!

I took some pictures of Emma, but I'm having trouble getting them out of the camera. There's a software incompatibility or something. I'll have to look at it later. But when I can get it working, I'll upload pictures. She's adorable. She's a light grey with dark stripes and she's very tiny. But she purrs very loudly and is very affectionate. Right now it's kind of tough as we are slowly integrating her in with her big brother Angus, so she's in a room by her self for awhile. She howls when she doesn't have a person there to cuddle with. We will let her out to wander (under supervision of course) later tonight. She is so cute!!

I went running yesterday for the first time in a long, long time. Man, am I out of shape. I went out again today and it was a little better, but I wass running really slowly. There will be running involved in my eventual black belt test. We will have to run two miles, do a bunch of push-ups and sit-ups. Then we start the testing. Gahhh! I may not have mentioned this before, but Taijitsu is a really great art. Last night at class, we did more multiple hits leading to take downs. These involved manipulating the head more. Those are my favorite kind of take downs. They use very little effort and work very nicely.

I'm now recuperating after my run, eating a nice Subway sandwich, watching Stargate SG-1. There are rerunning the special behind-the-scenes episode before the season opener. Next week starts Stargate: Atlantis. Can't hardly ask for more than that. At least with one's clothes on...

Liz and I will be taking her parents to a local Celtic Festival tomorrow. It's really cool. They have pipers, music, vendors and a sheep herding demo with sheep dogs. They are very well trained and great to watch. I'm hoping to get a scotch egg. Those are so yummy. I've come up with an improvement that involves wrapping the egg in bacon before covering it with ground sausage. Mmmmm... bacon.

Sunday will be Guild Day, which will be at my house because my Grove doesn't have it's own building (unlike one Grove I could mention...).

Mmmm.... sandwich.
