new Rod

Thanksgiving

Had a good Thanksgiving. Everyone came over to our house, as usual, and a fantastic dinner was had by all. My beautiful wife made the best dinner ever, especially the fruit salad. My brother made two cheesecakes, one chocolate chip and the other regular but he put a strawberry topping on it.

And my company is giving us today off with pay. Yay! All hail the new owners.

My brother will be coming over to hang out today, which will be nice. I don't get to see him all that often. He will be bringing his laptop so we can play City of Heroes together. We may do some shopping. Best Buy has a 1 gig mp3 player for $35. I'm not usually a bit Black Friday shopper, but I might splurge a bit today.

Right now I'm watching CNBC and watching my stock that I bought on Scottrade. It's currently up $0.39 so far from Wednesday. It's kid's day and everyone on the trading floor has brough their children. Pretty cool. Black Friday, called because it has traditionally been the day that puts retailers into the black. So it's black in a good way.

Oops, my stock is only up $0.32 now. I rarely get a chance to sit and watch my stocks progress in the market. Hey, it's back up to +$0.37 now. Now it's up $0.39. I love this stuff. If I had bought this stock awhile backe it would be at a 65% profit. As it is now it's at around 7%. The goal is for it to get to 20% before I sell. Now it's only up $0.37.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Random Havamal Quote

Let a man with his guests be glad and merry,
Modest a man should be"
But talk well if he intends to be wise
And expects praise from men:
Fimbul fambi is the fool called "
Unable to open his mouth.
Fruitless my errand, had I been silent
When I came to Suttung's courts:
With spirited words I spoke to my profit
In the hall of the aged giant.
