SLG had its Fall Equinox ritual on Saturday. It went pretty well, although I felt kind of depressed afterwards. We honored our Stag God, who we don't really know a lot about. It was a good ritual and for the main offering, we had everyone go out into the woods around our nemeton and make offerings of flax seed. We have a great outdoor site. I did the omen taking using runes, asking as usual if our offerings were accepted. I got Isa, Tiwaz, and Hagalaz. A bad omen. I was thinking that there was some sort of injustice to address. So I tried again to find out what we needed to do to make things right. I got Mannaz, Hagalaz, and Algiz. I interpreted this to mean that we needed to express how we would pledge to help the environment, to protect it against destruction. It should be noted that I had a bad feeling throughout the ritual and knew something was not quite right. The Stag God is a god of the wild, which is disappearing. Several of us pledged to do specific things to help the environment and people were urged to vote for slow growth kinds of things. I noticed that the feeling got better. I did the omen again and got Dagaz, Ingwaz and Gebu. This was a much better omen. I interpreted this to mean that our pledges had potential and that the Stag god was willing to work with us and that our offering had been accepted. Also Dagaz is a liminal kind of rune and we were celebrating Fall Equinox which is a liminal time. Also it indicated our world with the Otherworld interacting and intersecting.
I spent most of Sunday playing Starcraft.
Liz and I are planning on seeing The Forgotten on Friday. It looks interesting. I think it's aliens. But don't tell me before I see the movie.
