I'm watching Decisive Battles on the History Channel. They use computer animation to analyze important ancient battles. Right now they are talking about the Battle of Qadesh between Ramses II and the Hittites. They have people talking about what kind of armaments each side had and cultural things, such as being a charioteer was a big deal. It led to much prestige and lots of chicks. This was an important battle for Ramses as he was young and would make his name.

At one point he found himself with only one core of troops (out of four, each named after a god, two being Set and Ptah) with the Hittites just over a hill within striking distance. One core going to reinforce Ramses was flanked and dispersed, many dropped their weapons and ran. And then... Damn... a commercial.
