I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. The Dementors were done exceedingly well, and it was great seeing the kids another year older. The monstrous book of monsters was cool, as was the hippogriff. It was only 2 hours and 24 minutes or so, and seemed, at times, a little rushed. Of course this comes from the perspective of reading the books. If I hadn't read the books this would not be a complaint. But it did seem that there was quite a bit they could have included. The geography was changed around a bit. Hagrid's cottage and the Whomping Willow seemed to be much further from the castle than in earlier movies. I mean in the second movie the Whomping Willow was right next to the castle, but in this movie it was all by itself quite a long distance from the castle, which you could see the tops of the towers over the trees. But I really enjoyed the movie. It was much better than Cats. I'd see it again and again.
Grove stuff tomorrow (or today since I'm writing this at 2:24am). We have Guild Day, which is being held at my house since my Grove doesn't have it's own building like some Groves I could mention... For Magicians Guild, we will practice energy sensitivity excersices. For Healers we will practice Runic Reiki (I know all my students are practicing like fiends, yes?). And for Warriors we will raid a rich suburb for money. I mean attack people with swords. I mean we will find something to do. Perhaps discuss the national meeting, which I missed as I was heading for the hot tub at the time. But I was updated later as to what was discussed. One major thing they want to have is Guild dues which would help pay for prizes and equipment for the National Competition.
