01:33 pm - New Computer
Well I got my new computer at CompUSA yesterday. It's a Cisnet computer. Pentium 4, 2.8 Gighertz, 80 Gig hard drive, DVD/CD-RW combo, with 512 megs of Ram. Best part is, when I get by birthday present from my mom, I'll have an extra hundred dollars to get another 512 megs of Ram. Or upgrade the video. Yes, perhaps the video. I'm now in the process of transferring everithing over to the new computer. What a pain.

Does anyone know how I can preserve my Netscape bookmarks from one computer to the next?

I'm also helping take down the Christmas/Yule decorations.

Depending on the video card, I'd suggest upgrading the RAM first, just for overall performance issues.

As for bookmarks, export them as a file, and then move it over. In the "Manage Bookmarks" window, just choose the "Tool" file menu, then export. You can save the file to your desktop or wherever then.

And if you do want some good memory for under $100 after shipping, may I suggest something like this or perhaps this or this (depending on what speed you prefer)?

And you'd be taking a chance because it's used, but I have a graphics card sitting around wanting to have a home. It's the nVidia Ultra 5200 I believe (I'm at work so I'm not sure the exact numbers), but it's a 128MB card, and I never had any problems with it running any games, and I like to tax my games, heh heh.

Or maybe it was the 5600... I'll have to check when I get back home.

What would you want for it?

Gah! I forgot to comment to this.

Since it's used, I was thinking of only $30 or something, plus a few bucks for shipping.

Oh, and it is an nVidia 5200 Ultra.

Wow, that's really affordable. I can swing that, no problem. Send me details.

Thanks. I thought you could do something like this, but couldn't figure out how.
