11:03 pm - Thursday
Liz and I spent the day in Windsor, Ontario. We took the day off work. She had a follow up appointment at the Windsor Laser Eye Institute and I drove her. It was a very nice office and her appointment lasted only, like, 5 minutes. But we had fun in Windsor and even went to the Devonshire mall.

Yeah, she does. It's a bit of a pain right after. They give you stuff to make you sleep right after the surgery and you have to stay in a local motel to go back the next day for a follow up visit. You can't touch your eyes or get anything in them for two weeks afterwards. So no showers or anything. But she' seeing really well now.

Hi there:)

Yes, I absolutely LOVE it! I had it done August 12th. I was really, really nearsighted before. Like 20/400+, and also extreme astigmatism. And I couldn't wear contacts because I had dry eyes. Basically I could hardly see the alarm clock on my nightstand without my glasses. And I couldn't go swimming because I always got lost out in the water and didn't know which people on the shore belonged to me. Now I'm 20/20 for distance and 20/30 for close-up. It's like an amazing dream come true. Very, very wonderful! And I'm not even done healing yet, it might get even better.

If you're ever interested in having it done, just ask and I will happily give you the long, detailed version:)

Best regards,
Liz, "wife of UberRod"

P.S. If you have it done locally, you don't have to stay in a hotel. I just did in Windsor because it was easier than dealing with borders/customs and traffic and a long drive home afterwards. Plus I had to go back there at 8 AM the next morning for them to see how I was doing...
